Health and Human Services Grant Scam Alert!

From the District Attorney's Office for Consumer Alerts:

The District Attorney's office has received reports that residents have been contacted by an individual saying he is an officer with Health & Human Services and that they have received a grant from Health & Human Services, but must first pay a fee with a gift card to receive the grant. This is a scam. Sonoma County Human Services does not charge a fee for any application or access to benefits. If you have questions about benefits, contact (707) 565-5800.
