The County is pleased to announce that on June 28, 2019, the County and Local 39 reached a comprehensive tentative agreement for a four year successor labor contract. Under the terms, represented employees will receive annual salary increases, increased contributions to members' medical premiums, and increases toward employees' workforce development and wellness. The Union agreed to participate in a joint labor-management committee to explore potential options to address retirement-related costs, and the parties clarified language throughout the existing contract. The agreement will go to the Bargaining Unit for ratification, and upon ratification, the matter will go to the Board of Supervisors for final approval. The County appreciates the bargaining team’s hard work and professionalism in reaching this long term agreement.
