Board of Supervisors

Sonoma County Board of Supervisors sits as the governing board of Sonoma County and of various special jurisdictions such as the Sonoma County Water Agency, the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District, the Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, County Sanitation Districts, and the Community Development Commission. The Board is composed of five supervisors elected from supervisorial districts for four year terms.

Fair Political Practices

California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC)
The California Fair Political Practices Commission is a bi-partisan (and in practice, a non-partisan) independent body of five members which oversees a staff of 75 in administration, technical assistance, legal and enforcement divisions.

Form 802 Ticket Reporting
California FPPC requires all County officials who receive complimentary tickets to report acceptance.

Form 806 Agency Report of Public Official Appointments
California FPPC requires each agency to report additional compensation that officials receive when appointing themselves to positions on committees, boards or commissions of an intergovernmental public agency, special district, and joint power agency/authorities.
