Board of Supervisors
Sonoma County Board of Supervisors sits as the governing board of Sonoma County and of various special jurisdictions such as the Sonoma County Water Agency, the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District, the Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, County Sanitation Districts, and the Community Development Commission. The Board is composed of five supervisors elected from supervisorial districts for four year terms.

There will be NO Board meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. The next Board meeting will occur on December 2, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.
The Assessment Appeals Board is an independent agency providing taxpayers a means to appeal their property tax assessment.
A valid and timely Application for Changed Assessment will be scheduled for a hearing before the Assessment Appeals Board. Read more

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Jennifer Traumann today as the Director of the County’s Department of Child Support Services. Ms. Traumann has served as the Interim Director since June 2014. Prior to her appointment, she served as the department’s Assistant Director for four years.

The County of Sonoma has launched a project to seek a more effective, efficient, and sustainable fire service system in the county, particularly the unincorporated areas. Fire services in Sonoma County are provided today by dedicated and excellent volunteers and professionals. Yet, many districts and volunteer companies in the County are facing significant financial stresses. Recommendations will be developed over the next 12 months.

This Saturday, November 1st, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., soccer players from throughout the Sonoma County Community will descend upon Elsie Allen High School to compete for the Roseland Cup Perpetual Trophy with local law enforcement service providers. The Roseland Cup Tournament is about bringing local residents together with their law enforcement service providers in a non-threatening environment for a day of fun and excitement, competition and camaraderie.
