Sonoma County Cannabis Program

Over the last several years, California voters, and the state legislature created a legal framework to enable the cannabis industry to move into a regulated commercial market. In response to these changes the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors adopted a series of ordinances to establish a comprehensive local program to permit and regulate medical cannabis. These ordinances were created to preserve our environmental resources, protect the health and safety of our communities, and ensure industry contributes positively to the economic vitality of our County. This website serves as central location for the multi-department implementation of the County’s Cannabis Program.
