Notice of Funding Availability: Homeless Services Programs
The Homeless Services funding application period will open January 8, 2019. All documents will be available for download on this page.
All applicants are required to attend one of two scheduled Technical Assistance meetings at the Sonoma County Community Development offices at 1440 Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa, CA, during the week of January 14, 2019.
The deadline for submission of completed applications will be Friday, February 8, 2019, at 5:00 PM. Late or incomplete applications will not be eligible. Please see the timeline of events below.
Special Information Regarding 2019-2020 Funding Cycle
The FY 2019-2020 Homeless Services competitive funding cycle will include four (4) one-time funding sources.
- State Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP)
- California Emergency Solutions & Housing Program (CESH)
- Sonoma Valley Homeless Initiative Funding
- Partnership HealthPlan of California Housing Innovation Grants
The first of these sources, the Homeless Emergency Aid Program, may be used for capital improvements serving homeless persons. All capital improvements require the jurisdiction in which the project is located to pass an emergency “shelter crisis” declaration. The required resolution format is posted below. An application addendum will be required for HEAP Capital Projects.
