Drought

Sonoma County is currently experiencing its third consecutive year in a drought. It is important for agricultural producers to manage their available water resources and to take steps to insulate their farming operations from future drought impacts.

To assist agricultural producers Sonoma County’s Agricultural Commissioner’s Office has created this drought website as a resource to inform agricultural producers of the different resources and assistance available through the various cooperating agencies and associations.

    Grape growers throughout the North Coast are seeing signs that the drought could result in a smaller crop this year, and are taking precautions to mitigate the damage that could occur if the dry weather persists.
