Shipment of Winegrapes Out of Sonoma County

Please contact us  6 to 8 weeks in advance of harvest if you fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Grower shipping winegrapes out of state or out of the U.S.

    Note: Weekly monitoring for LBAM is required to ship grapes from the LBAM quarantine area of Sonoma County to British Colombia, Canada.

  2. Grower within the LBAM quarantine area shipping wine grapes to an area in California not under LBAM quarantine  
  3. Grower within the EGVM quarantine area shipping wine grapes to an area not under EGVM quarantine (EGVM quarantine counties include Napa, and Sonoma) and the receiving county is not issuing EGVM compliance agreements to their wineries.

    Note: CDFA has listed the businesses by county that have been issued EGVM compliance agreements

Please contact the Agricultural Division or call the Agricultural Commissioner’s LBAM-EGVM line at (707) 565-3219 and leave the following information:

  • Your name
  • Business name
  • Vineyard address, and number of acres to be harvested for shipment
  • Call back phone number
  • Expected date of harvest
  • Where the shipment is going; the county, state or county

An inspector from the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office will contact you to discuss the requirements for shipping grapes out of the LBAM and/or EGVM quarantine areas.
