As parts of the County are
evacuating from the recent wildfires, including the Glass Fire you may receive
calls from patients describing symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Patients
should be tested for COVID-19 and referred to the County’s alternate care site
(ACS), which is located at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg. The
ACS provides medical care for individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 experiencing mild
or moderate symptoms, and those awaiting test results who cannot safely isolate
or quarantine in their homes for any reason including evacuating from the
recent fires.
Referring Patients
County health care providers are
advised to call the Sonoma County ACS at
(707) 791-0059 to arrange admission. Providers are requested to arrange the
transport of patients to the ACS. Directions for patient intake, including the
exact location and time.
Patients referred to the ACS from
health care facilities for care during the 14-day recovery period. More severe
COVID-19 cases are referred instead for hospitalization. Providers are
requested
No visitors are allowed at the ACS,
and patients may not leave the premises. The site will have 24-hour security
and around-the-clock medical care.
Medical and waste from meals will be
safely disposed of by contracted vendors.
Before discharge and return to the
community, patients must complete the medically determined isolation and
recovery period. Discharged patients will be transported back home. Patients
who are unsheltered will be transferred to an appropriate shelter.
