How Can You Help?

Jail Industries 750

You can help by Scheduling a visit to the nursery or attending one of our seasonal events. All revenue generated by plant sales is invested back into the Horticulture Program. You can help us further by telling your friends and family about the Jail Industries Horticulture Program and the work that we do.

DONATIONS

If you would like to give more, please consider making a donation of goods and/or services. The nursery is currently in need of the following new or lightly used items:

  • One-gallon, black nursery pots (please sort to remove broken or damaged containers)
  • Gardening tools
  • Cinder blocks
  • Lumber
  • Pallets
  • Full-sized refrigerator
  • Folding chairs
  • Hoses
  • Large, decorative pots

All donations must be made by appointment. We'd like to kindly ask that containers and other supplies not be left in or outside of the nursery gates. Non approved donations are considered littering. Schedule your appointment by emailing your name, desired date and time, and a list of items to be donated to Sonomahorticulture@fivekeys.org

Donating Professional Expertise

The Horticulture Program and Nursery are always busy developing new programming and facilities to further the learning opportunities for in-custody students. Please reach out to Colleen at sonomahorticutlure@fivekeys.org if you are interested in donating your expertise in the following areas

  • Contractors, carpenters, welders and landscape contractors to help develop on-site facilities
  • Graphic designers to help with the development of promotional and educational materials
  • Photographers, illustrators, and painters to help build a catalog of plant images to be used for educational and promotional materials

Thank you for your generosity and continued support.
