Pit Fix
Our Pit Fix program helps Sonoma County residents comply with the county ordinance requiring all Pit Bulls (Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers, or American Staffordshire Terriers) and Pit Bull mixes to be spayed or neutered. We offer weekly appointments for low-cost spay or neuter of your dog. Appointments are required.
How to Qualify
- Be a Sonoma County resident.
- Have an unaltered Pit Bull (Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, or American Staffordshire Terrier) or Pit Bull mix dog.
- Be able to pay your license fee (required for all dogs over 4 months old).
How to Apply
Call (707) 565-7100 during regular shelter hours to make the next available appointment.
Co-pay Fees
- Dogs 2-30 pounds: $60
- Dogs 31-75 pounds: $70
- Dogs 76+ pounds: $90
The co-pay is due at the time of surgery. Cash, check and most credit cards accepted.
