Lived Experience of Homelessness in Sonoma County: A Community Webinar

You are invited to participate in an online public forum on homelessness on Wednesday, November 29th  from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The forum will begin with a brief discussion on homeless experiences, followed by an “open forum” style Q&A session.

Nominations are hereby invited for five (3) seats to be chosen by eligible CoC voters at the CoC Quarterly Membership meeting on December 13, 2024, at 1:00pm – 3:30pm. Nominations and Statement of Interest forms will be accepted until November 29th at 5pm.

This forum will feature Michael Gause, Ending Homelessness Program Manager for the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, and Dennis Pocekay, Continuum of Care Board Chair and Petaluma City Council Member. The forum will begin with a brief presentation on the state of homelessness in Sonoma County, followed by an “open forum” style Q&A session.

Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care seeks public input on draft Homelessness Strategic Plan

Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care Board and its Strategic Planning Committee invites the public to provide input on a draft 2022 Homeless Strategic Plan and to learn more about the plan during a series of upcoming meetings. The Continuum of Care is a federally directed homelessness coordination system that works to ensure a regional homelessness system of care is coordinated and effective.

HomeFirst to operate the Sonoma County Continuum of Care’s Coordinated Entry System

The Coordinated Entry System in Sonoma County has changed operators from Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa to HomeFirst, a nonprofit agency based in Santa Clara County. The change in operators was approved by the local Continuum of Care Board and took effect on April 1.
