SEIU Labor Negotiations Summary

The County of Sonoma and SEIU representatives met on May 2^nd for the parties’ 8^th bargaining session.  

The session began with the County addressing SEIU’s proposal on job classification procedures. The parties then discussed conceptual ideas for reaching an extension of the agreement and ways to complete negotiations in time for the  County’s medical proposal to go into effect on June 1^st.  Progress was made in terms of identifying the parties’ respective priorities and key areas of interest.

The next negotiation session is scheduled for May 16^th.
