SEIU Labor Negotiations Summary

The County of Sonoma and SEIU representatives conducted their 9th bargaining session on May 16th. The County began the session by responding to the SEIU’s conceptual proposal for a contract extension, addressing wages, medical benefits, holiday pay, and retiree health benefit language changes.
Following a caucus, SEIU indicated that while progress was made toward reaching agreement, the parties remain apart on the issues of wages and paid leave time.
The parties return to the bargaining table on May 18th.
