SCEIP Financing News: Financing for Wildfire Safety and Seismic Strengthening approved by the Santa Rosa City Council

Since the inclusion of Wildfire Safety and Seismic Strengthening into the list of eligible improvements earlier this year, we have been building up some pent-up demand for financing in the City of Santa Rosa. That has finally changed! On November 10, 2020, the Santa Rosa City Council voted to allow SCEIP financing for construction hardening. Effective immediately, residents within the city limits of Santa Rosa are able to finance measures related to wildfire safety and seismic strengthening such as class A roofing, non-combustible covered gutters, earthquake brace and bolt, and much more. The added improvements bring the list of pre-approved eligible improvements to over 100! As a reminder, we also have a custom improvement track for measures that aren’t on the list. Custom improvements require additional review for their specifications and can qualify as energy, water, wildfire safety, or seismic strengthening. For more information contact our office at (707) 565-6470 or email to SCEIP@sonoma-county.org.
