Nominations open November 13 for 21 federal, state and county offices that will be on the ballot in Sonoma County for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office is seeking public input on its 2023 Election Administration Plan, which informs voters about all aspects of the California Voter’s Choice Act including Voting Center services, ballot drop box locations, and information specific to voters with disabilities and language minority voters. Nomination period opens for Nov. 7, 2023 Consolidated Election
Candidate nominations open on Monday, July 17, for various special district offices scheduled for election on Nov. 7, 2023. Candidates residing in Sonoma County who are interested in running for one of the more than 20 available positions must file nomination papers between July 17 and August 11 to have their names placed on the Nov. 7 ballot, according to Registrar of Voters Deva Marie Proto. The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office announced today that it is taking public comment through June 21 on its updated draft Election Administration Plan. March 7 is Election Day for two fire districts
The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters is reminding voters who reside in the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District and the Timber Cove Fire Protection District that there is an election on Tuesday, March 7. This election only applies to approximately 3,000 voters registered in these two districts. All other Sonoma County voters do not have an election this spring. Read full story
