  1. Update from Eve Goldberg:
    - The LC got a report from Jaime Anderson about Measure Y and the changes that have occurred between 2016 and 2024.
    - Got a legal report from the legal team about Measure Y on the ballot
    - State of California budget and possible effect on the library and grant projects
3. Library Report
  1. Library Director Report
    - Library Update by Jaime Anderson:
      - Sonoma County Archives
        
        location now has WIFI and internet access
        
        Installed an air quality sensor at the Archives location
        
        Staff is working on installing exterior security cameras at the Archives location
      - Ready or Not Emergency Preparedness consultants coming on site next week that have expertise with special collections and preservation.
        
        Question from Steven Lovejoy – how is this being paid for?

    - Archives Operating Agreement Update

  2. History and Genealogy Library Report
    - Update by Zayda Delgado:
      - Rainbows by the River, Saturday, February 3, 2024, Guerneville Library. It was be a discussion of LGBTQAI+ history groups discussing their work to preserve queer local history.       - Upcoming Programs
        
        Launched March 2024 dates for Playback Memory Lab
      - Working with Healdsburg Library staff to launch a playback memory station
4. Archives Activity Report
  1. Update by Zayda Delgado:
    - Five (5) archives material requests from 4 unique users. No county requests for January.
5. Collections & Archives Recognition Awards
  1. Nominees will be recognized at the Sonoma County Historical Society Annual Luncheon on Sunday, March 10, 2024, 11:00AM to 2:00PM, Windsor Holiday Inn, 8755 Old Redwood Hwy, Windsor, CA 95492

    - Tim Danesi nominated by Barbara Mackenzie in category of Individual Excellence

    - Playback Memory Lab and Sonoma County History & Genealogy Library nominated by Erika Thibault in the category of Special Projects

  2. Discusson on how to provide event luncheon tickets for awardees
    - Motion to allocate $350 to pay for this year's set of seven awards by Margaret Purser

  3. Secretary to reach out to Ray Johnson to request a table for HRC/County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor
  4. Secretary to prepare a press release for ticket sales and nominee information.
6. Outreach
  1. “Researching the History of a Sonoma County Property” pamphlet update:
    - Commission to review pamphlet in March 2024 for updates to be published in June 2024.
  2. Review the Prior HRC Strategic Plan
    - Discussion occurred on the prior HRC Strategic plan and how the HRC would like to set future goals.
7. County Recorder update on the status of the Restrictive Covenant Modification Program
  1. County Recorder has been testing with their vendor and are expecting to move to start the project in February after testing is completed.
8. Legislative Updates pertaining to public records
