Water Saving Tips

According to the Association of California Water Agencies , outdoor water usage makes up more than 50% of residential use in California. Below are some tips and tricks to spread your gallons farther.

  • Mulch around your plants. This can help slow evaporation and trap moisture in for your plant.
  • Put a bucket in the shower while you're waiting for the water to warm up, and use the water you catch for watering plants.
  • Instead of watering for one 10 minute cycle switch to a few 3 minute cycles to allow the water to soak into the ground and reduce your chance of runoff.
