Kicking Off 54 Miles of Road Construction

Santa Rosa, CA  –  July 14, 2017  –  On Monday, July 17, construction is set to begin on 54 miles of major roads in unincorporated Sonoma County. Improvements range from rebuilding roads to treatments that keep good roads in a good condition. This work will enhance a total of 255,515 average daily vehicle trips, however the construction will have unavoidable traffic impacts.

“The investments we make in our roads improve the daily lives of Sonoma County residents,” stated Board Chairwoman Shirlee Zane. “We will minimize traffic impacts to the greatest extent possible, while still working efficiently to protect our tax payer’s investment. We are grateful to neighbors, commuters, drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians for their patience through construction.”
