Temporary Suspension of Non-Essential Operations

Published:  March 30, 2020

Until further notice, Sonoma County Transportation & Public Works has transitioned to telecommuting where possible in all of its divisions in accordance with CDC guidelines. Consistent with both the County and State orders, road maintenance crews continue to maintain critical functions of roadway safety, including:

  • Roadway signage
  • Drainage and pavement surface
  • Vegetation management
  • Culvert replacement
  • Guardrail replacement
  • Debris removal
  • Traffic signal operations
  • Materials testing
  • Construction inspections
  • Safety inspections
  • Road and lane closures

Essential work also continues on major infrastructure projects related to the 2017 and 2019 flood disasters, the Hart Lane intersection improvement, and Pavement Preservation projects.
