Project Schedule

The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration finds that the proposed project would result in “potentially significant” or “potentially significant unless mitigated” environmental impacts related to air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, and recreation. Although the proposed project could have a significant effect on the environment, implementation of feasible mitigation measures would either avoid or reduce to a level of insignificance the identified environmental impacts.

On January 9, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved the preliminary plans and adopted the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project. The project description changed slightly, and an addendum highlighting minor changes has been prepared by Regional Parks. See below for a link to the addendum to the adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration document.

Regional Parks anticipates awarding a contract for construction in the spring of this year and begin construction in the summer of 2024.
