Hood Mountain Lawson Expansion - Project Detail

New Trail Construction

The construction of the 2-mile Lawson Trail began October 4, 2019. Construction has stopped through the wet season but will begin Spring 2020, as weather allows. Trail construction in the rugged terrain includes a trail bridge, armored wet drainage crossings, and rock retaining walls.

The Lawson property and new trail is closed to the public until the official opening upon completion of trail construction in Summer 2020. Please be cautious of trail construction and materials near existing open trails through the length of the project.
