Right to Appeal

There is a ten (10) day appeal period from the date of approval or denial for any project.  Anyone may file an appeal (fees apply).  Appeal hearings typically occur within 3-4 months after an appeal is filed.

Please note: Projects approved or denied by the Board of Supervisors are not subject to appeal.

How to Appeal

A written letter of appeal and appeal fee must be submitted to PRMD within the appeal period.  The letter should state the project file number and address, name and contact information of the appellant, and specific reason(s) for the appeal.

If an appeal period expires on a weekend or County holiday, appeals will be accepted until the end of the next business day.

Multiple parties may file for appeal on any project.  Each appeal will be evaluated on its own merits at the appeal hearing.
