Customer Service Ombudsperson
The Permit Sonoma Ombudsperson is a member of the management team whose sole focus is providing value-added customer service on individual projects and facilitating process improvements that result in a more user friendly permitting process both for customers and staff. The Ombudsperson works department wide and across divisions to accomplish these results. In addition, the Ombudsperson acts as the Permit Sonoma ambassador to the Business Community and the Citizens of Sonoma County.

The position of Customer Service Ombudsperson was created by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to provide a single point of contact for customers needing assistance with permitting issues.
