The Mental Health Board Executive Committee welcomes you to its meetings that are held every first Wednesday of the month, except in August and December. The Board is a means by which consumers, advocates, and interested parties influence policies and the allocation of funds within Sonoma County Behavioral Health Services.
The meetings are conducted in accordance with the bylaws of the Mental Health Board and Robert's Rules of Order (revised). California law provides that no action may be taken on any matter that is not on the agenda. However, brief discussion on procedural or preliminary matters that are not substantial may be allowed; for instance, the time and place of future Board meetings, a request to place a matter on a future agenda, or instruction to staff to gather information and return to a future MH Board Executive Committee meeting.
The Chairperson will invite members of the audience to address the MH Board Executive Committee on any matter related to mental health. Members of the public who wish to speak should stand or raise their hands, wait for recognition by the Chairperson and (if they wish) state their names and organizational connections. The Chairperson may limit the time allowed to speakers in order to ensure maximum participation of those present.
