    This message is to notify you that the Community Advisory Council's (CAC's) April 5th meeting has changed.

    As reported in IOLERO's recent newsletters, Director Karlene Navarro gave a presentation at the March 16th Board of Supervisors' (BOS) meeting about Measure P and how it is being implemented. The conversation focused on IOLERO's first independent investigation of the protester arrests last summer, IOLERO's research on establishing a program for posting body worn camera footage where force was used, IOLERO's whistleblower hotline and changes to the CAC.

    Four months after Sonoma County voters bolstered the authority and budget of the county's civilian law enforcement watchdog, the office’s director said several of the changes outlined in Measure P—such as the creation of a law enforcement whistleblower hotline and body worn-camera posting program—are underway.
