DEA Drug Take Back Day: Saturday, October 23, 2021 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Published: October 18, 2021

Protect young children from accidental poisonings. Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands, which is dangerous and can lead to tragedy. That's why it is great to see thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in—safely and anonymously—a record amount of prescription drugs.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will hold their National Prescription Drug Take Back on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The aim of this important event is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of prescription medications.

Currently, the following local law enforcement offices are participating in the take-back event:

  • Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety
  • Cotati Police Department
  • Petaluma Police Department
  • Santa Rosa Police Department
  • Healdsburg Police Department
