Health Alert: Pesticide Illness Reporting

Published:  January 14, 2020

Dear Provider,

As part of efforts to improve the reporting of pesticide illnesses, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment of the California Environmental Protection Agency issued a Health Alert. The County of Sonoma Department of Health is requesting your assistance and reminding all health-care providers in this county that all cases (known and suspected) of pesticide illnesses are required by law to be reported to the county health department.

Your assistance in this is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions about this outreach effort. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks so much!
