Orientation will provide useful information to new employees as they navigate the often times confusing on-boarding process. Topics covered will include the following areas:

  • PENSION BENEFITS
  • DEFERRED COMPENSATION
  • DISCRIMINATION & HARASSMENT IN THE WORKPLACE
  • SEIU
  • ENERGY & SUSTAINABILITY
  • PURCHASING OVERVIEW
  • WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - Planning for (Your) Success
  • HEALTH & SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
  • EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
  • EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Additionally, the NEO contains content that is mandated by the Board of Supervisors and other entities such as Cal-OSHA (Workplace Safety) and the Department of Homeland Security (NIMS).
