  • Backhoe Trailer Behind Dumptruck

    The County Vehicle Use Policy requires employees who drive on County business to participate in defensive driver training. This course includes a classroom portion and a hands-on driving portion. During the class, participants will be familiarized with weight distribution, turning radius, basics of backing, correcting for skid of trailer, low speed maneuvering and moderate speed maneuvering.

  • Driver Safety Car Navigating Traffic Cones

    Training will include a review of the County Vehicle Use Policy, as well as, introduction to defensive driving techniques, and employee responsibilities (listed below) while operating vehicles on County business.

  • Driver Safety Slid Car

    The County Vehicle Use Policy requires employees who drive on County business to participate in defensive driver training. Frequent drivers are employees driving on average 3 days a week or 500 miles a month. This course includes both classroom and hands-on driving activities.

  • Continuous Improvement Sign with Up Arrow

    This course is designed for new supervisors or supervisors who have served in a supervisory role for less than one year.

    This course is designed for individuals who have served in a supervisory role within a County department or special agency for less than one year AND have taken the Beginning Supervisory Skills course OR individuals who have served in a supervisory role for over three years

  • Train Tracks

    All new County employees should attend a New Employee Orientation (NEO) either with their department or a general enrollment class presented at the Workforce Development Center within 30 days of employment. Orientation will provide useful information to new employees as they navigate the often times confusing on-boarding process.
