We are seeking County employees who are interested in joining existing Schools of Hope tutors in this tutoring program. County employees can volunteer to tutor 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students at the participating school of their choice.

The 2018 Day of Caring will continue to be a partnership with County of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa employees to work on community projects alongside each other! This year we hope to receive projects from nonprofits and organizations that were impacted by the 2018 October Wildfires. We understand there is park restoration, food banks, and shelters that may need some assistance.

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will be performing at the Haehl Pavilion at Santa Rosa Junior College on Wednesday, August 8^th, and Thursday, August 9^th at 7:00 p.m. General Admission is $25.00 and the Harlem Globetrotters are offering Sonoma County employees a $7.00 discount to attend the event.

Take Your Child to Work Day is a career day that serves as an enriching educational experience for our County employees’ children, not only exposing them to what the adults in their lives do during the work day, but also showing them the potential value of their education by providing an opportunity to envision their future.

County of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa employees will join forces on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, for the 17th annual Day of Caring event! Employees will participate in a day of service, working on a variety of projects ranging from painting, gardening, park trail work, packaging items at a food bank, graffiti removal and more. We are currently accepting projects from non-profit partners of the County and City

The Dental Clinic at the Valley of the Moon Children's Center is in need of volunteer assistants, hygienists, and dentists.

Court Appointed Special Advocates needed for children and youth currently in the Juvenile Court system.

The Community Development Commission – Housing Authority is seeking several low-income housing aide volunteers to perform a variety of clerical and informational services.

Volunteer Tutors are needed at Probation-Juvenile Hall. Tutors work in conjunction with the Sonoma County Office of Education and tutor in math, English, writing and/or spelling. Applicants must be 21 years of age.

Volunteer opportunities as a Friendly Visitor at Probation-Juvenile Hall are currently available. Applicants must be 21 years of age.

If you hadn't yet heard, the Amgen Tour of California is returning to Santa Rosa for the eighth time in eleven years!  On Saturday, May 21, 2016, Santa Rosa will host Stage 3 of the Women's Race and Stage 7 of the Men's Race -- with the Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival in between.
