As you may be
aware, on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved geotechnical
studies to help reduce uncertainties in future sale efforts. A contractor has
been engaged for trenching studies to locate any active earthquake faults, and
work is scheduled to begin as early as Feb. 22, 2021. The trenching program is
expected run about 14 weeks, beginning on the north side of the campus.
Although trenches may temporarily restrict some internal driveways within the
Chanate Campus, this work will not impede Chanate Road. Trenching segments will
be behind fencing for safety until they are surveyed and backfilled; any
segment through roads/driveways will be covered by metal plates until the
surface is restored.
neighbors and tenants have been notified; we are working closely with the
Public Health department to ensure that COVID response activities are not
hindered. If you have any questions about the project please email email@example.com,
or call General Services at 707-565-2550.
The County expects
to receive findings from the geotechnical studies by early in the summer, when
they will be brought to the Board for analysis and next steps.
