Check It Out…Literally!

Published:  March 13, 2017

Do it yourself toolkitThree Sonoma County libraries will be lending more than books starting Tuesday, November 8, 2016 through May, 2017.

The Guerneville, Sebastopol and Central Santa Rosa branches will have Do-It-Yourself tool kits that promote water and energy savings.

The tool kit will include a set of borrowed tools to measure your current energy and water usage along with detailed energy and water saving information.  In addition, kits will also include free LED light bulbs, faucet aerators, low-flow showerheads and weather-stripping.

The six-month pilot project was made possible by the collaborative efforts of the Sonoma County Library, the County of Sonoma Energy and Sustainability Division, the Sonoma County Water Agency and Sonoma Clean Power.  If deemed successful, it will be offered at additional Sonoma County Library branches.
