The Community Advisory Council is currently reviewing the Sheriff's Office Use of Force policies and requests public feedback. These policies guide how, when and why Sheriff's employees are allowed to use force, including deadly force, against members of the public. Given the significance of these polices to the both the community and employees of the Sheriff's Office, it is crucial that public opinion is considered throughout this process. Please join one of our public meetings, held on the first Monday of each month, from 5:30pm-7:30pm, at the PRMD Hearing Room, which is located at 2550 Ventura Ave., in Santa Rosa.
