Farming 101 changes directions
Farming 101UCCE took over this program which was created by the former Marin Organic. Farming 101 consists of monthly meetings, held the second Tuesday of the month, and a mentoring program. The meetings normally consist of a panel of speakers on specific farming topics. The meetings are a great way for new farmers to network and for experienced ones to pick up new skills and share their knowledge.

CheeseNow that UCCE has been hosting for a few months, we have decided to change up the monthly meetings to be more of a workshop style starting with Fresh Cheese Making 101, with Sheana Davis of The Epicurean Connection, being offered at 6pm on September 13th at SRJC’s Shone Farm. We feel fortunate to have Sheana to teach this class. If you have ever wanted to learn how to make fresh cheese, this is the class for you! Sheana will also share experience about the cheese business in the hopes that some will want to start or grow a cheese business.
