Sonoma County, City of Santa Rosa to Host Virtual Town Hall about Glass Fire Recovery and Re-Entry

Sonoma County and the City of Santa Rosa, with state and federal representatives, will host a virtual town hall to share information about Glass Fire recovery and re-entry on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The event will be livestreamed on the County’s Facebook page and on YouTube in Spanish. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided. The recording of the town hall will be available on the county’s Facebook and YouTube channels. 

Members of the public are invited to submit questions by emailing them to publicaffairs@sonoma-county.org, by calling (707) 565-3040, or by leaving questions in the Facebook Live comment area during the briefing. Questions can be submitted in English or Spanish.  

Panelists will include representatives from CAL FIRE, the California Department of Insurance, the non-profit group United Policyholders, and local, state and federal elected officials. Topics will include an update on the Glass Fire, recovery resources including free safety supplies for those returning to burned properties, plans for reopening burned areas, insurance, ash safety and debris information, water quality, wells and septic systems and watershed protection.
