Get vaccinated and receive free admission to Summer Fun Fest at Sonoma County Fairgrounds

Santa Rosa, CA  –  July 26, 2021  –  The Sonoma County Fairgrounds and the Sonoma County Medical Association are collaborating with the County’s vaccination efforts by providing free admission and a free ride ticket to members of the public who receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the Jockey Club in Santa Rosa.

Sonoma County’s Summer Fun Fest will run from July 28 through Aug. 8 (closed Monday and Tuesday) at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds and will be a different version of the normal summer county fair. To comply with COVID-19 protocols, the Summer Fun Fest will have limited capacity each day and will implement any masking or social distancing requirements mandated by the State of California or the Sonoma County Health Officer.

Dr. Sundari Mase, Sonoma County’s Health Officer, reminds the public, “that COVID-19 and its variants are on the rise, including in Sonoma County, so we’re asking residents to use their face coverings at the Summer Fun Fest as protection against the virus.”

The Summer Fun Fest will feature similar themed days and activities as the regular summer fair, including Barnyard Fun, Farmer’s Day, Rodeo, Jaripeo, monster trucks, and a destruction derby (some activities require special tickets to attend.)

The public is encouraged to take advantage of this promotion and receive a vaccine at the Jockey Club, located at 1450 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa. Vaccinations at the Jockey Club will continue through Sunday, Aug. 8. This promotion is only available for vaccines received at the Jockey Club during the Summer Fun Fest from July 28 through Aug. 8, 2021. Normally, fair tickets are purchased for specific days, but the free admission and ride ticket obtained by receiving the vaccine can be used for any one-day the festival is in operation.

Vaccination hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the Summer Fun Fest (July 28 – Aug. 8; closed Monday and Tuesday). The public can choose from either the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines, and they are available to residents ages 12 and older. Vaccines are free, safe, fast, and simple. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can make an appointment at myturn.ca.gov. Social Security, health insurance and citizenship proof are not required.
