The County of Sonoma is in the process of developing a Five-Year Strategic Plan that will provide the context to inform policies and projects that are funded for the next five years.

The plan will guide how we align short and long-term objectives so our actions reflect a clear sense of purpose as we move into the future with sustainable progress.

Agenda

What do you want for Sonoma County in the next five years?

Sonoma County’s Strategic Plan will help shape the County’s short and long-term policies and projects for the next five years, and we are looking for your input. The final plan is expected to be adopted by the Board of Supervisors in late February 2021.

This session will focus on the Racial Equity and Social Justice Pillar. Sonoma County’s collective well-being and prosperity are impacted by significant racial inequities. By focusing on racial equity and social justice in the Strategic Plan, the Board of Supervisors can begin to institutionalize equity and address disparate impacts on people of color both internally as an organization and in the community.

Please join us to discuss the draft Racial Equity and Social Justice goals and objectives and provide your feedback.

Racial Equity and Social Justice Strategic Plan Goals:

  1. Foster a County culture that supports the commitment to achieving racial equity
  2. Implement strategies to make the County workforce reflect County racial demographics across all positions
  3. Ensure racial equity throughout all County systems and services.
  4. Engage key community and internal stakeholders in developing priorities to advance racial equity
