I am excited to share with you an innovative initiative, Aging Together, that Sonoma County Human Services recently launched, and one that I have spent countless hours working on this past year.
  • Trails Challenge
We recently celebrated a milestone for Taylor Mountain Regional Park and for the community by dedicating a new permanent entrance and a new trail on Petaluma Hill Road. This is big news because Taylor Mountain is not just a regular park; it's a spectacular wilderness park between two cities-Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa. It's a park where we connect with the natural world, where we build strong bodies, where we calm our minds, where we build memories with our loved ones, and where we preserve our agricultural roots.
  • For Rent Sign
Creating more housing is good for business, and creating more affordable housing is particularly good for business. As one of the leading voices in support of programs to end homelessness in Sonoma County, and as a champion of affordable housing projects to meet this goal, you might expect me to support affordable housing simply because it's the right thing to do.  Without adequate shelter, it is virtually impossible to live a safe, healthy, and productive life.  I do support affordable housing for these reasons, but my purpose here is to make the business case for affordable housing, and to demonstrate why more affordable housing is good for our economy.
