Amendment to Health Order No. C19-08 Congregate Care/Living Facilities

The Health Officer has amended the Health Order C19-08 of April 16, 2020 to provide additional direction for congregate care/living facilities with the goal of protecting staff, residents and visitors from COVID-19.

Please take note of 2 changes: 

Social Distancing requirements outlined in Appendix A and Appendix B of the health order are amended.

Some facilities are now exempt including:

  • Juvenile and adult detention facilities
  • Homeless shelters
  • Group homes for minors

Staff working in multiple facilities

Facilities who determine that staff work in multiple facilities must implement measures to reduce risk of cross contamination.
