The Land Stewards Guide to Vineyard and Orchard Erosion Control

Published:  December 11, 2017

Through a Specialty Crop Block Grant from the California Department of Food and Agriculture, the Land Stewardship Division of the Sonoma County Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures was able to create The Land Steward’s Guide to Vineyard and Orchard Erosion Control.

The Guide focuses on assessing and maintaining croplands beyond their initial development. Our goal was to provide a tool that Sonoma County growers could utilize throughout the life of their vineyard or orchard to aid them in erosion control, nutrient management, and pesticide use planning.
