Advisory Council Subcommittees

The Advisory Council meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month except July, August, and December from 1:00-3:30 PM at 3725 Westwind Blvd., 1st Floor, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. The Advisory Council is comprised of the following five (5) subcommittees (starting with "Executive Committee"):

  • The Civic Engagement Committee studies, reviews and advocates for legislative issues and concerns related to the well-being of seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers in Sonoma County and makes appropriate recommendations to the Council.

  • County of Sonoma Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council. The Executive committee develops agendas for regular and special meetings and reviews staff, workgroup and committee recommendations.

  • The committee explores possible solutions to the challenge of finding affordable, accessible housing in Sonoma County.

  • The Planning and Funding Committee develops with staff and recommends to the Advisory Council the Agency's Area Plan prior to its adoption by the Area Agency on Aging (Board of Supervisors).

  • On behalf of seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers, the Transportation & Mobility Committee researches and reviews current and model transportation programs and potential funding sources.
