County Clerk Rousseau stated “I made it priority in my final term in office to ensure Sonoma County modernizes and upgrades its voting system to the latest standards using the most secure, accurate, and accessible technology available.”

Respondents are asked to propose a complete solution that provides software, hardware, and implementation services and support that will best satisfy the County’s requirements.

    Sonoma County Assessor, William F. Rousseau, is urging residents displaced by the October 2017 wildfires to update their mailing address with the Assessor’s office.

    The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters wants to help voters who may have been impacted by the wildfires understand how to update Voter Registration.  The residence address we have on file determines the contests for which you are eligible to vote.  The mailing address we have on file determines where we mail voting materials, such as Voter Information Guides and, if registered to Vote by Mail, official ballots.  Voters may be legally registered in only one county.

    In response to the Northern California fires and at the request of the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters, Governor Jerry Brown signed an Executive Order declaring that the November 7, 2017 Consolidated Election will be conducted wholly by mail. On the ballot is a local contest for Timber Cove County Water District and local measures F, G and H.

We can help replace birth, death and marriage certificates, deeds, and other important recorded documents. Our office is also working diligently to reassess Sonoma  County homes damaged or destroyed by the fires, and assisting residents with disaster relief filings to ease their property tax burden.
