What is a Guard Rail?
Guardrail is a roadway barrier, usually made of metal and running parallel along the outer edge of the road.
Common Placements
- Along either side of a bridge
- Roadside at a cliff or ravine
- Center median on a divided road
- In some cases, barrier between the roadway and private property
Report Damaged Guardrail
You can report non-emergency road issues (such as potholes, broken signs, guardrail damage, etc.) using SoCo Connect, Sonoma County's application for submitting service requests.
