  • The County of Sonoma is committed to improving access to County programs and services and to providing accommodation to individuals with disabilities as required under state and federal law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Affordable housing is a key issue in Sonoma County today. The Community Development Commission and other County departments operate a number of programs providing regulatory incentives and financing to promote and assist in the development and preservation of housing that is affordable, available and accessible to the County’s low-income residents.
  • The purpose of the Sonoma County Ordinance is to stabilize the rate of mobilehome park space rental in order to prevent exploitation of the shortage of vacant mobilehome spaces; to prevent excessive and unreasonable mobilehome park space rent increases; to rectify the disparity of bargaining power which exists between park residents and park owners; to provide mobilehome park owners with a guaranteed rate of annual space rent increase which reflects the rate of inflation and increases in their expenses; and to provide a process for ensuring mobilehome park owners a fair, just, and reasonable rate of return on their parks in cases where the guaranteed annual space rent increase provided by the ordinance proves insufficient.
  • The purpose of the program is to provide rental assistance to very low-income families and individuals to enable them to rent decent, safe and affordable housing.
