Sonoma County Fires Community Meeting at 6:30 pm Tonight

Santa Rosa, CA  –  October 10, 2017 at 3:39 PM  –  Federal, state, county, and city elected officials, CAL FIRE personnel, the California Office of Emergency Services, Sonoma County schools, the Red Cross, and others assisting in the fire response and recovery will gather tonight at 6:30 pm for a public Community Meeting at Santa Rosa High School to provide status updates on the ongoing and active Sonoma County fires.


CAL FIRE will update on the status of the fires, acres burned, and resources dedicated. The Office of Emergency Services, the County of Sonoma, and City of Santa Rosa will update on resources and services; Red Cross will provide a shelter update; Sonoma County Schools Superintendent Steve Herrington will provide a school closure and damage update; and PG&E will provide a utilities update. There will also be an update on cell phone and internet service. The meeting will include an opportunity for the community to ask questions.
