Santa Rosa, CA – January 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM – An advisory evacuation notice has been issued from the Sonoma County Emergency Operation Center for residents living in the Russian River flood way and its tributaries. For your safety, you're requested to leave the areas below the 38.3-foot flood level in the
lower Russian River area. Be sure to take essential items, such as medicine, with you.
For those who do not have relatives or friends outside of the evacuation area to stay with, there is an Evacuation Center at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial building (1351 Maple Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404). Domestic animal companions in crates are welcome. If you need

The current forecast predicts the river to crest at 38.3 feet at 7 p.m. tomorrow. The river is predicted to go below flood stage at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Transportation will be provided from the Russian River area to the Santa Rosa Veterans Building. Sonoma County Transit will stage a bus at the Guerneville Safeway to transport residents to the Evacuation Center at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial building. To request

Animal Services Evacuation
Sonoma County Animal Services is available to help with relocating and sheltering companion animals during the storm. Animal Services dispatch is available at (707) 565-7100 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and after hours, call Sonoma County Sheriff’s Dispatch at
(707) 565-2121. For livestock shelter, the Sonoma County Fairgrounds is available, but there is an associated fee. Owners will need to provide care for their animals while they remain at the Fairgrounds. Relocation of animals to the Fairgrounds must be prearranged by calling Animal Services.
