Chapter 40B – COVID-19 Recovery Ordinance

On May 19, 2020 the Board of Supervisors adopted Chapter 40B - COVID-19 Recovery Ordinance. The ordinance was created to address Permit Expiration Dates in in response to the COVID-19 event.

Interim Policy for Zoning Ordinance Implementation to Accommodate Physical Distancing in Commercial Zones

The purpose of this Policy is to support the safe reopening and operation of local business operations in commercial zoning designations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Urgency Ordinance – Temporary Modifications and Encroachment COVID-19 Recovery

On July 7, 2020 the Board of Supervisors adopted an ordinance addressing several business related permit requirement modifications including encroachment, design review requirements, and home office permits given the current COVID-19 environment.

Construction Permit Extension Policy

This policy applies to ministerial construction permit types where Permit Sonoma is the authority having jurisdiction and meet additional criteria.
