Taylor Mountain Natural Play Area

What & Why?

Sonoma County Regional Parks is planning to build a Natural Play Area at the western base of Taylor Mountain in the area of the Petaluma Hill Road entrance to Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve.

The play area will use landform, vegetation, and play features predominately constructed of natural materials, to create a diverse and exciting play-scape for children to explore. The play area will also provide opportunities for children and families to learn about the natural environment of Taylor Mountain.

What Next?

Design development and fundraising efforts are underway. Once the design plans are completed, construction is anticipated to begin in late Summer of 2017.
