Maxwell Farms Regional Park Master Plan

What & Why?

Sonoma County Regional Parks Department is updating the existing Master Plan for Maxwell Farms Regional Park, a centrally located community park located in the Springs area of Sonoma Valley, adjacent to the City of Sonoma.

The updated Master Plan is focused on renovations and improvements to existing facilities, as well as new park features based on the current and future needs of the community. Ideas for new park features and infrastructure improvements are being balanced with natural resource values and conservation objectives to chart an exciting and sustainable future vision for the 85 acre park.

The current draft Master Plan graphic is available here

The current draft plan and CEQA document were reviewed at a meeting of the Sonoma County Environmental Review Committee (ERC) on November 27, 2018. Subsequent to the review and the incorporation of any changes, the draft Master Plan and CEQA document will be published to the State Clearinghouse. At that point, a 30-day public review period will begin.

We anticipate the public review period for the Master Plan and CEQA document will begin in the late Fall of 2018, with the goal of presenting them to the Board of Supervisors for their approval in February of 2019.
