What & Why?
Regional Parks is planning to renovate the existing boat launch facility at Hudeman Slough so that it is usable for all types of water recreation. The project involves demolition of the existing boat ramp and dock, and the reconstruction of a new ramp, dock and gangway system.
Additional project components include the addition of a low freeboard, accessible (ADA) kayak launching dock, a permanent restroom building, resurfacing of the parking area and the provision of 6 primitive campsites including a camp host site that would accommodate a 28’ trailer. Additionally, the preliminary plans call for an accessible (ADA) path between the campsites, parking lot, restroom facility, and the dock and ramp. See links below for more detail.

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is the decision-making body responsible for adopting the CEQA document (Mitigated Negative Declaration) based on the preliminary design and engineering plans. We anticipate bringing the item to the Board in the January of 2018.
